    Assist with department special events Aloha Races & Polynesian Festival (August 17, 2008), Halloween on the Wharf (October 31, 2008), Clam Chowder Cook off (February 21, 2009), Jazz on the Wharf (March 15, 2009), Japanese Cultural Fair (June 20, 2009), Woodies on the Wharf (June 27, 2009), July is Parks and Recreation Month (Month of July 2009) including Movies in the Park (July 11, 18, 25, 2008) and Art on the Wharf (July 19, 2008). Other events may include grand opening celebrations, new park or facility dedications and Sister Cities Committee-related events as needed. Duties include artist and vendor booth liaison, event set up and take down, provision of bike valet services, pre-event fliering and postering, errands associated with events and department programs and other duties as assigned. This is a fun job that includes outdoor and office work, public outreach and community relations. Applicants must have a valid CA driver’s license and DMV printout.     Pool Lifeguard - $12.13/hour

    Under supervision, assists in the implementation of swimming pool programs, including lessons, recreation swim, lap swimming, pool and locker room maintenance; and other duties as assigned.     Under supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, assists with administering summer programs; responsible for supplies; acts as liaison between Recreation Leaders and Recreation Supervisor. Must maintain flexibility and be available to Recreation Supervisors as needed. Develops, implements, supervises and evaluates the summer volunteer Jr. Leader program.     Windows Network Administrator - $13.42/hour

    The Teen Center is looking for a person to administer the Teen Center network of 12 PCs. 10-hour a week position. Must have 2 years of experience using Microsoft Windows networks. Experience with Windows XP, Windows Server. Ability to configure & administrator LANs, Routers, Firewalls & Gateways. Knowledge of PC hardware. Ability to identify, troubleshoot and repair PC hardware and Microsoft operating systems. Solid understanding of network security & Windows operating systems. Experience working with youth is a plus.
